Susan Mary Duggan

Duggan, Susan Mary Is in God's loving arms; she was a woman of faith who loved the Lord. Died at age 77, Rosemount, after a prolonged illness. Preceded in death by her loving husband Stephen. Survived by her sons, Christopher (Christine), Jeffrey, and Daniel; daughter Paula (Eric); grandchildren Gunnar and Hunter Vraa; Maria, Serena and Veronica Duggan; sister Joan (Joe), brother Paul (Elaine); nephew and nieces John, Beth, Amy, Katie, Heather; special friend Bob; and an enormous number of friends and well-wishers. Sue obtained her teacher's license and served as teacher and principal at Jesus Is Lord Academy in Rosemount in the 1970s and 1980s. She subsequently worked for decades as a home school consultant in the T.E.A.C.H. program, assisting dozens of families, and served on the District 196 school board. Sue was an excellent wife, mother and sister, as well as a compassionate Christian, who devoted her time and efforts to numerous charitable activities, visiting the old and sick, arranging church suppers and even holding an icon painting class. Sue loved to travel, attend garage sales, garden and talk with her many friends, who valued her honesty, generosity and witty humor. Sharp as a tack, Sue inspired others with her leadership, optimism and unbounded energy. Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 29 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 13900 Biscayne Ave. W., Rosemount. Interment to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery.
