Hanson, Howard E. age 90, of Shoreview, MN passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Taymond and Clara, and first wife, Ruth Nelson. Survived by his loving wife, Silvia Ostby; sons, Brad, Mark, and Paul, and their spouses and families; grandchildren, Daniel, Kristen, Lauren, and Bethany; four great grandchildren; and brother, Norman Hanson. Howard was married to Silvia for nearly 17 years. He is also survived by his stepchildren Lori, Elena, Frank, and Marissa, and their spouses and families, including nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Howard was a very kind and generous soul, and a wonderful husband and father who will be missed by everyone who knew him. The bulk of his career was spent as Vice President of Operations for Leslie Paper. The family wants to thank the staff of Lyngblomsten Care Center for their care of Howard over the past year. A celebration of Howard's life will be held at Oak Grove Lutheran Church, 7045 Lyndale Ave S, Richfield, MN 55423 on April 27, 2017 with visitation at 10:00am, Celebration of Life at 11:00am and luncheon to follow at church at 12:00noon.
