William D. 'Bill' Weernink

Weernink, William D. "Bill" of Plymouth, MN. Age 84. Passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on 3-26-17. Preceded in death by parents William H. and Irene Weernink, and brother Donald Weernink. Survived by loving wife of 64 years, Lola Weernink, children Linda Johnson, Bill Weernink (Kari), and Barbara Weernink. Grandchildren Chris Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Kimberly Lamoureux (Johnny), Kaitlyn Weernink, William "Tyler" Weernink; great grandchildren Eligh Johnson and Everly Lamoureux, sister Joyce Zajac (Tom) and sister-in-law Marie Weernink. Also, close family friends, Bill Johnson, Danielle Bojan, and Brittany Tallman. Bill loved golf, wood-carving, the great outdoors and being with family and friends, working a long career in printing ink sales and management and retiring from BASF and Louis O. Werneke Co. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of the Chester Bird American Legion 523. He was also a member of the Plymouth Woodcarving Club and Plymouth Senior Men's Club, where he enjoyed spending time with friends. He will be missed greatly by family and many longtime friends. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, April 4, at 10:30. St. Phillip the Deacon Lutheran Church 17205 County Rd. 6 Plymouth, MN. 55447, with visitation beginning 1 hour prior to the service. Luncheon to immediately follow at the church.
