Ravits, Harold age 99, a St. Paul native. He graduated from Central High School in 1935 and the University of Minnesota combined bachelors and MD in 1941. Harold was a surgeon in a medical triage unit in the European theater of World War II from 1943-45. He earned his master's degree and completed clinical residency in Dermatology at the University of Minnesota. He led dermatology in St. Paul, where he practiced for over 50 years. Harold was Clinical Professor of Dermatology at the University of Minnesota. He pioneered diversity in the St. Paul community and served as President of the Medical Assembly, Minnesota Dermatological Society, and the Ramsey County Medical Society. He was Chairman of the Dermatology Department at St. Paul Ramsey Hospital, and later served as Chief of Staff of St. Paul Ramsey Hospital. He served on the St. Paul Council of Arts and Sciences. He was a lover of music. He will long be remembered for his strength, wisdom and unselfish love of family, office staff and patients. He is survived by Cissy his wife of 68 years; children, Martha, Mimi and John (Trish); 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Graveside service 10:30 a.m. THURSDAY, March 30 at MOUNT ZION CEMETERY, 1670 Payne Ave., St. Paul, MN 55130. The family will be returning to Mount Zion Temple, 1300 Summit Ave., St. Paul, MN 55105 immediately following the graveside service to receive friends and family.
