Sara 'Sue' (Reinert) Kimmel

Kimmel, Sara "Sue" (Reinert) passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of March 18, 2017. Sue was born on April 29, 1943 in Manitowoc, WI, where she also met her husband of 51 years, Gerald "Jerry" Kimmel. After marrying Jerry in 1965, they moved to the East Coast for a few years and welcomed children Kristin and Michael. A few more moves landed Sue and Jerry in Eden Prairie, MN with two more children, Kelly and Patrick. Music played a major role in Sue's life. She began playing the accordion in grade school, even performing on a Milwaukee-area T.V. station. Sue further developed her musical skills, playing both the piano and organ and often played at her family's church as a teenager. She found her true musical love with her voice, singing with choral groups in local churches and semi-professionally with a group in Cleveland, OH, The Choraliers. After moving to Minnesota, she continued singing with the church choir and small groups at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Minnetonka. While being a loving wife and mother of four, she successfully built her own medical transcription business which served nationally known plastic surgeons and child behavior specialists, as well as local family physicians. Sue never met a stranger whom she didn't immediately befriend. And she didn't have a friend she didn't consider family. Sue will be missed by many. Preceded in death by parents, Edith and Albert Reinert, and sister Nancy. Sue is survived by her husband, Jerry; daughters, Kristin (Shawn) and Kelly (James); sons, Michael (Jen) and Patrick (Cassie); sister Diane (Bob); brother Alan (Kathy), and; many other family members. She loved spending time with her five grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, Wyatt, Isabelle and Grace, playing games, laughing at their conversations, and watching as they each became impressive young adults. Funeral mass will be held 11:00 a.m., with visitation at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, at 13505 Excelsior Boulevard, Minnetonka, MN 55345. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Sue's name to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Private Interment to follow. Sue is now singing and playing piano with the Angels.
