Carlson, Bruce Phillip age 62 of Hopkins, made his transition on February 27, 2017. He is survived by loving wife Marcia, father Phillip Carlson, brother Dave and Sandy Carlson, sister Nancy and Lee Wangstad, nieces and nephews, the Soletski (Marcia) family, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends. Preceded in death by mother Marjorie. Bruce graduated from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. He was an artist and an independent film maker. He worked in television as a career, and after 26 years Bruce retired as Senior Producer in Creative Services. Bruce was awarded two Emmys, in 2002 and in 2007. Bruce was a loving, kind, strong, fun, witty, creative and intelligent man. He faced many health challenges with faith, hope, a positive attitude, courage and perseverance. Bruce enjoyed 'words, wit and whimsy'. He recognized the 'perfection' in the moment and he was open to the possibilities. Bruce was loved by many and will be deeply missed. We will always hold him in our hearts with love. Visitation Saturday, March 4 at 11:00 a.m. at Unity Minneapolis, 4000 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley with service at 12:00 Noon, and a lunch following.
