Robert Floyd Doering

Doering, Robert Floyd age 86, of Crystal, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, Feb. 20, 2017. Bob was born on August 24, 1930 in Wishek, ND, graduated from Wishek High School, and served in the Army during the Korean War. He married his hometown sweetheart. They moved to Mpls and Bob graduated from Dunwoody with a degree in Quality Control Engineering. He worked in manufacturing, proud that he was helping to make tanks safer for soldiers. He loved spending time at the lake place fishing and collecting made-in-Minnesota fishing tackle. Bob was passionate about sharing his talents to make the world a better place. He enjoyed serving at his church and various other volunteer projects. He was especially proud of his work with Compatible Technology, traveling to Africa, developing and bringing peanut grinding machines to local villages. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Doering (Kramer); daughters, Myra Arnold (Doug), Diane Ringdal (Tom) and son, David Doering; 8 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren. Service Thursday, Feb. 23, 12 noon, with visitation 11 am at Olivet United Methodist Church, 3620 43rd Ave N., Robbinsdale. Luncheon to follow. Burial Glen Haven Cemetery.
