Sjolund, Connie Age 87, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Victor and Bertha Bodell. Connie's greatest joy was her family who benefited from her love and kindness. Together with friends, she loved to socialize, laugh and smile. With her love of animals, she volunteered at the Minnesota Zoo for 15 years, helping children learn about wildlife. She was also a gracious volunteer with the Girl Scouts, her church library and First Call for Help, to name a few. She enjoyed traveling the world with her beloved Bill, family and close friends. Survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Bill; son, Steven Sjolund (Julie Ehasz) and daughters, Nancy Heuer (Tom) and Linda Sjolund. Loving grandchildren; Rebeccah Parks (Jason), Jared McDowell, Dylan Heuer, Noah Sjolund and Jennifer McDowell (Ben Marcusen). Adoring great-grandchildren; Eva Parks, August and Violet Marcusen. Sister, Marion Olson, along with cherished nephews & nieces & their families. Memorial service Friday, February 24, 11:00am at St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 8400 France Ave, Bloomington. Visitation one hour prior to service. Preferred memorials to: Minnesota Zoo Foundation, American Swedish Institute, or St. Stephen Hosanna Choir.
