Timothy Paul Olsen

Olsen, Timothy Paul of Faribault passed away suddenly of a stroke on Jan. 5th, in Cortez, CO while on a trip to visit a sister. He was born on April 25, 1959. He grew up in Dennison and attended Northfield schools. He became interested in the restaurant business and it remained his passion throughout his life. Tim's other passion was golfing which he did as often as possible until he began having chronic neck and back pain. Tim's favorite holiday was 4th of July when he, along with friends and family, would shoot off the big boomers with lots of lights. His favorite snacks were cashews, peanut M & M's, and Gardetto's snack mix. His favorite foods were pizza, meatloaf, and tatortot hotdish. He also made a name for himself baking banana bread, for which his co-workers made sure to supply him with more than enough bananas. Tim loved the Sci-Fi channel and rarely missed an episode of "The Walking Dead". His next favorite show was "Star Trek". Tim was a solitary man toward the end of his life, enjoying backyard recreational fires, warm weather, and watching the birds and squirrels. He spent time with family and friends. He is survived by his brothers Mike Olsen, Bruce Olsen, his sisters Bonnie Olsen and Susan Nystuen along with nieces, nephews and other extended family. A Celebration of Life will be held Jan. 28th from 11-1 PM at the Signature Bar in Faribault for family and friends.
