Pelto, George H. "Joe" age 91 of New Hope passed away January 19, 2017. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur E. and Hanna; wife, Signe; daughter, Mary Ellen; brother, Clement and sister, Ellen. Survived by children, Joseph A. (Erna) of Laredo, TX, John H. (Jan) of Bloomington, Ann Pelto of Eden Prairie; 6 grandchildren, Anja (Jerry) Norris, Diana (David) Miles, Joseph A., Jr. (Monica) Pelto, Miriam Pelto, Peter Pelto, Christina (Tom) Madison; 6 great-grand-children, Bradley (Luvia), Brittany, Brandon, Natalie, Sara, Steven, Benjamin; 2 great-great-grandchil-dren; sister, Martha, Koski of New Hope. Joe served with the US Army during WWII. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association, Plymouth Lutheran Church or donor's choice. Interment Fort Snelling Cemetery.
