Bolla, John L. Age 95 of Mtka, passed away Jan. 17, 2017. Preceded in death by beloved wife Charlotte, parents Joseph and Anna and brother Bodge. John grew up in Mpls and attended West High. He was an avid Boy Scout and met FDR at a jamboree. He loved playing hockey as a boy and later as a MN Gopher. John was a streetcar student at the U of M graduating with a BA in Business Admin. He proudly served in the Navy in WWII. In 1956 John started his 26 year career at Farmers and Mechanics Bank. He volunteered his accounting skills at the church and as a tax preparer. John loved and cared for his family and enjoyed golf and traveling. Survived by sister Marie and children Anne (Peter), Kay(Pat), Jack, Jane, Mary (David); grandchildren Hunter, Emily, Jeffrey, Kevin. Memorial service 11 AM on Saturday Jan. 28, 2017 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 715 Minnetonka Mills Rd in Hopkins, with visitation one hour prior.
