Rolfe, Agnes M. (Peggy) age 90, passed away at Chapel View Care Center in Hopkins on November 27, 2016 after a brief battle with cancer. Born on July 6, 1926, the oldest child of Nick and Alma Anderson in Two Harbors, MN. Preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, William Pitt Rolfe Sr (1923-2012), parents, brother John Anderson and sister Mary McElevey. Survived by sister Mabel Zimmerman of Lincoln, Nebraska. She will be deeply missed by her children Bill (Julie), Susan (Dan) Kuhn, Laura Matuska and Patty (Gary) Van Tatenhove. Grandchildren Evan (Liz) Kuhn, Kristin Rolfe, Alex (Kelsey) Kuhn, Kelly Rolfe, Kyle Van Tatenhove, Mitchel Van Tatenhove, Ian Matuska, Michael Rolfe, Lauren Rolfe, Bradley Van Tatenhove, William Rolfe, Grace Rolfe and Alma Rolfe. Great Grandchildren Carmin Caspers and Jaxson Kuhn, many nieces and nephews. She graduated from Two Harbors High School and the nursing program at St Luke's Hospital in Duluth in 1948. She was a member of Hopkins Women's Club and Sons of Norway. She loved spending time at her church, quilting, baking lefse and rosettes for Fall Fair, serving at Saturday Night Club and volunteering at Chapel View Care Center. The family wishes to thank the Park-Nicollet hospice, Chapel View Apartments and Care Center staff for the compassionate and loving care they gave to our mom. A celebration of her life will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 715 Minnetonka Mills Rd, Hopkins, on Friday, December 9th. A gathering of friends and family will begin at 12:00 pm with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 pm. A private burial with Pitt will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
