Brown, Eugene A. age 89, of Shakopee, died on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the Lutheran Home in Belle Plaine, MN. Gene was a successful realtor, devel oper and insurance broker. He was a very proud, lifelong resident of Shakopee, loved his large family, many friends and the Minnesota Twins. Gene met his wife, Esther in the Scott County Jail in first grade. His father was the Police Chief of Shakopee at the same time Esther's father was the Scott County Sheriff. Preceded in death by his wife, Esther; son, Tom; grandson, Tim; brother, Cal; sisters, Roberta (Edwin) Chadwick, Virginia Lano; nephews, Cal Chadwick and Terry Lano. Survived by sons and daughters, Bob, Barbara (Bill) Woolley, Nancy (Jerry) Poole, Betsy Brown Theis, Dave (Kinga), Kitty (Terry) Hauer, Joanie (Joe) Krebsbach, Mary Jane Brown Berens; grandchildren, Jason, Sarah, and Brian (Keely), Mitch (Jennifer), Haley, and Tracy (Gustavo), Molly (Tracy), Annie (Dan) and Benjamin, Jamison (Erin) and Joe, Ellie, Vinnie and Katie, Billy and Scott, Andrew (Siera), Tom and Robby (Nia), Samantha (Matt), Brynn, Madison and Betsy; great-grandchildren, Samarah, Summer and Savannah, Ivey, Mitch, Gus, Diane, Ben, Jack, Joe and Grace, Emma, Claire, Jack and Peyton, Taylor and Tanner, Alaina, Vanessa, Olivia, Hunter and Henley; brothers-in-law, Clarence Lano and Francis Beaudette; sister-in-law, Rosemary Brown; nieces, nephews, and many friends. Visitation Friday from 4-8 PM at McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 3rd Ave. E., Shakopee. Visitation also Saturday from 10-10:45 AM at First Presbyterian Church, 909 Marschall Rd., Shakopee, followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. Interment Catholic Cemetery.
