Mihas, Tom "Athanasios" age 84, of Golden Valley, passed away in his home October 18 surrounded by his family. Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Sophia; children, Athena, Jim, Harry and Paul; sisters in Greece, Vasso and Stamatia. Tom immigrated to the United States in 1951. He owned and operated a restaurant in Kemmerer, Wyoming for 20 years. In 1973 he moved to the Twin Cities where he owned and operated multiple restaurants. Most recently the "Hopkins Best Steak House" for 25 years. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church. Tom was a loving and devoted husband, father and caring friend with a generous spirit. He will be deeply missed. Visitation 4-6 PM Sunday, Oct. 23 with 4:30 PM Trisagion Service at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, W. 50th St. & Vernon Ave at Hwy 100. Funeral service 11 am Monday, Oct. 24, with visitation beginning at 10 am at St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church, 3450 Irving Ave S., Mpls. Interment Lakewood Cemetery.
