James, Sherry Horvath 83, of Santa Fe, died Saturday, July 23, 2016 following a massive stroke. Sherry was born February 14, 1933 in West Orange, New Jersey, to Nicholas J. and Edith May Horvath. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, James Preus, and by two children from a former marriage, Claire Elizabeth Roberts (Bradford Harvey) and Daniel Robert Romig; and by two grandchildren, Brenna May and Brooke Helen Roberts. Sherry attended Rutgers College and later received a Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication from the University of Minnesota. She was an editor at West Publishing for early digital legal materials and later for college textbooks. Sherry had a passionate interest in classical music, good writing, and world affairs. She was generous in sharing her talents and gifts with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held at the University Lutheran Church of Hope, 601 13th Ave SE, Mpls on Monday, October 24, at 2:00 PM.
