Johnson (Peterson), Dolores Juanita age 88, of Hutchinson, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016, at Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson. Memorial Services were held Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Vineyard Methodist Church in Hutchinson, with interment in the Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield, Minnesota. Dolores Juanita Johnson was born on August 19, 1928, in Flint, MI. She was the daughter of George and Nacie (Hess) Peterson. Dolores was baptized as an infant and was later confirmed in her faith as a youth. She received her education in Silver Lake, and was a graduate of the Silver Lake High School. On May 31, 1949, Dolores was united in marriage to Oliver "Ollie" Johnson in Hollywood, CA, on the Bride and Groom Radio Show, where they won a Canadian honeymoon trip. This marriage was blessed with three children, Scott, Laurie and Sandra. Dolores and Ollie resided in Litchfield, MN, Lincoln Park and Garden City, MI, Silver Lake, Cosmos, St. Louis Park and Minnetonka, MN before moving to Hutchinson in 1963. They shared 57 years of marriage until Ollie passed away on May 5, 2006. Dolores was employed with the 3M Company in Hutchinson for 20 years. She retired in 1987. Dolores was a member of the VFW Auxiliary Post #96 and the Red Hat Society. She was also a member of Vineyard Methodist Church. Dolores enjoyed cooking, baking, doll making, decorating her home and entertaining friends and family. She also loved nature and enjoyed watching the birds while tending to her beautiful flower gardens. In her younger years she enjoyed the involvement of helping her children with their horses. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends. Dolores passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, at Harmony River Living Center, at the age of 88 years. Blessed be her memory. Dolores is survived by her daughter, Laurie Raisbeck (Larry) of Brainerd, MN; grandchildren, Alec Raisbeck of Mankato, MN, Cole Raisbeck of Athens, OH; Kyle Raisbeck and family of Waconia, MN; Jara Tripiano and family of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law, Joe Theis of Bemidji, MN; many other relatives and friends. Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, George and Nacie Peterson; husband, Oliver "Ollie" Johnson; children, Sandra Lynne Johnson (in infancy) and Scott Kevin Johnson; sister, Rosalie Buska; brothers-in-law, Gayle Johnson, Rolland Johnson and Ralph Buska; sisters-in-law, Mona Johnson, Doris Johnson and Audrey Theis.
