Eva Jane May

May, Eva Jane passed away peacefully at her Minneapolis home on September 28th at the age of 86. She had a wonderful life. Eva was hired by Honeywell in 1956 as one of their first computer programmers. She worked for Honeywell for 35 years until her retirement. She married the love of her life, James (Jim) May, in 1958. After she retired she travelled extensively with Jim for his business, Advantek, Inc., and formed many lasting international friendships. Eva enjoyed gardening and created a beautiful Japanese garden at her home in Edina. Boating was a big part of her married life. Eva and Jim started out with a small sailboat on Lake Superior and worked their way through a number of boats, ending up spending their summers on a trawler cruising the inland waterways of Alaska. Always smiling, Eva was a joy to everyone she met, and will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband James W. May, and is survived by son Jeff (Colleen), daughter Elaine, grandson Tyler, brothers Richard and Leonard Venske and many nieces and nephews.
