Harstad, Gordon Gehart age 86, of Fridley, passed away peacefully September 23, 2016. Reunited in death with Gloria, his wife of 61 years, and infant son. Will be missed by sons, Gary (Joyce) and Glen (Kirsten); daughter, Susanne (Larry) Cross; grandchildren, Matthew Harstad, Laura (Andy) Headding, Emily Harstad, Heather Harstad, Jeffrey Harstad, Ryan (Alyssa) Cross and Rebecca Cross; great-grand children, Sullivan, Nash and Adalyn; sister, Yvonne (Guy); brother, Duane; and many others. Gordy was a dedicated family man, soldier in Korea, volunteer firefighter, founding member of the Fridley VFW, and retired from FMC after 32+ years of service. Memorials preferred to DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust or Wounded Warrior Project.
