Wilsey, Roland D. passed away on September 20, 2016 at age 94 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Proud to be a Marine who served his country in WWII, committed to the Rotary International ideal of "Service Above Self" and truly devoted to the Indianhead Council of the Boy Scouts of America, Roland was preceded in death by his loving wife, Darleen. He is survived by his sister, Lois (Jim) Wilsey Murch, sons Grant and Greg (Angie) Wilsey and their son, Joe, daughter Mary (Tony) Strande and their son, Jon, long time friend Jingle Mahan and numerous cousins and family members. Arrangements are being made by Roseville Memorial Chapel. The Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Episcopal Cathedral of Minneapolis, 519 Oak Grove St, Minneapolis on Saturday, October 15 at 11:00 am, followed by inurnment in the Columbarium of St. Mark's, where he will rest eternally with his wife, Darleen. His friends, Rotary Scholars and colleagues in the United States of America and around the world will forever be inspired by his enduring contributions to humanity and deep commitment to making the world a better place for those less fortunate.
