Clarence Ranallo

Ranallo, Clarence Age 84 of St. Anthony Village passed away peacefully after a prolonged and fearless fight against cancer. Clarence lived a full and vibrant life surrounded by family and friends, with whom he was always quick to share one of his many stories. Clarence was retired from Employer's Association where he was a labor relations consultant. He lived his life in service to his church and community. He was an active member of St. Charles Borromeo Church where he served on the finance committee for 35 years and was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 48 years. He was a community leader in St. Anthony Village where he was on the City Council for over 20 years, serving as Mayor from 1990-1999. In his retirement, he enjoyed watching his family grow and flourish and was able to spend summers in Cumberland, WI at his lake home. He also found enjoyment working for the local cable company, which kept him just busy enough. Clarence is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Rita (Rath) and his children, Rose Mary (Randy) Timm, Roxanne (John) Stark, Sue (Tom) Marcotte and Birdie (Tim) Duca; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; and his brother Ernie. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, Jim & Rose (Donatelle) Ranallo and siblings Sam, Mary and Edmund. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 29 from 4-8 pm with rosary at 7:30 pm at Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel, 2610 19th Avenue NE, Minneapolis and starting at 9:00 am in the church atrium on Friday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 30, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 2739 Stinson Blvd NE, Minneapolis. Memorials preferred to the church.
