Robert Campbell Brown

Brown, Robert Campbell age 92, of St. Paul, passed away September 15, 2016. Born November 19, 1923, in Oshkosh, WI, Robert graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in chemical engineering. He worked for 3M from 1945-1982 and was inducted into the prestigious Carlton Society in 1986 for his significant contributions as a scientist, including several patents for his work with filament tape, sealing and closure tapes, and novel adhesives. When not hard at work, he enjoyed golfing, tending his raspberries and rose bushes, playing bridge with friends, and taking cruises with his wife Gladys. He was also active as a deacon in the Hazel Park Congregational Church. He appreciated good food, especially desserts that appealed to his sweet tooth, such as cookies and caramel corn. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gladys; brother, Russell, and son-in-law, Robert Brandel. He is survived by children, Janet (Robert) Liberman, Colleen Brandel, and Ken (Kathy) Brown; grandchildren, Sarah, Danica, Eric, Nate, and Annalisa; and great-grandchildren, Finnegan, Stella, Axel, Donovan, Leif, and Jillian.
