Okerman, Allen "Al" Age 96 of Oak Park Heights. Allen was born on a small farm near Jacobson, MN. He is survived by Marcella, his wife of 71 years; son, Jerry (Joan); daughter, Judy Kastelle; son-in-law, Mike Lyner; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his daughter Jeanne Lyner. He studied at Dunwoody Institute, worked in a munitions factory during WWII and then became a home builder. Returning veterans bought many of his homes. Later he built apartments around Minneapolis. Allen and Marcella lived in Richfield where they were charter members of House of Prayer Lutheran Church. He was a Shriner. He taught bridge until the week of his passing. Allen was an avid fisherman and hunter, enjoying days on the water, walking the fields and woods in Minnesota. He was a great source of support and love for his family.
