Mulrennan, Robert Emmet 88, lovingly known as Bobby, Himself, the Ol' Man, Moe, and grandpa from Minnetonka, Brooten, New Ulm, Willow River and favorite haunts throughout Minnesota and beyond passed away peacefully Tuesday August 23, 2016. A husband, father, grandfather, friend, outdoorsman, story teller, jokester, dog owner, gardener, good council to the troubled and confused, and a man of God. Loved to start a host of projects at once but wearied of their completion. Collector of everything and purger of none. The most colorful of life's characters will be missed and fondly remembered by his wife of 67 years, Joanne, his 8 children Kathy Biebl (Tony), Colleen Duggan (Joe), Dan Mulrennan (Mia), Tim Mulrennan (Cindy), Brian Mulrennan (JoAnn), Maureen Mattson (Ross), Nancy Mulrennan (Peter Sohal), Trish Reubish, honorary son Tom Knauer (Diane) and his 18 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and dear friends far and wide. "And if I did not say it out loud often enough, let me say one last time: I loved you all with all that I was. I will see you again my dears." Visitation will be held at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 am with luncheon to follow on Tuesday, August 30, at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 13505 Excelsior Blvd., Minnetonka, MN 55345.
