Patricia Ann 'Pat' Goeman

Goeman, Patricia Ann "Pat" age 87 of Minnetonka, the last of the 6 Spring Valley Gallagher girls, passed away peacefully on August 19th 2016. Preceded in death by husband Duane and son Tom, she is survived by daughter Mary Berry, sons Dennis, Jim (Kim), Terry (Laurie), grandchildren Sarah, Libby, Jim Jr., Christian (Katie), Ben Berry, Peter Berry, Kelsey, Kayla, great grandchildren Patrick, Trey, Carson, Brinkley, nieces, nephews and sister-in-law Pat. Born in Rochester, MN she grew up on the family dairy farm in Spring Valley, MN graduating from Spring Valley High in 1946. Pat had a strong work ethic and for many years was a cook and baker for the Hopkins School District as well as Oak Terrace Nursing home in Glen Lake, MN. She then transformed herself learning computers & commuting daily to downtown St. Paul while working for the State of Minnesota Retirement office. She also waitressed for many years at the Minnesota Room in Donaldson's at Southdale and upon retirement was given a ceremonial key to the mall for her excellent service. She was a big NASCAR fan traveling to many states to see races including the Daytona 500 at age 75. Known for her love of friends, hot (not warm!) food and the best chocolate chip & Christmas sugar cookies ever made, she loved her family above all else. Mom was a loving sister, wife, aunt, mother, grandmother and great grandmother genuinely loved by all. She will be eternally missed but her love will never be lost. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, August 31st, 11:00 AM at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, St. Joseph campus, 1300 Mainstreet, Hopkins with visitation one hour prior. Interment at Ft Snelling National Cemetery and luncheon at Hopkins Elks Lodge, 30 8th Ave. S., Hopkins will follow. Visitation Tuesday, August 30th from 6-8 PM at Washburn-McReavy, 1400 Mainstreet, Hopkins. Memorials preferred to American Heart Association.
