Tegeder, Roy & Ruth Roy (98) passed away August 17th in Austin, Tx. and is now with his beloved wife, Ruth (97) who passed away April 9th. They were married for over 74 years. Both were native Minnesotans and lived here for over 50 years before various relocations and a final move to be by family. Roy graduated from De La Salle, attended The American School of Business and spent his career in Sales and Management. A proud member of the Elks Club and a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, Roy was a founder of the K of C Student Loan Fund. He loved golf and all sports. Having been Washington County Commissioner during the 1950's, he continued his love of politics. He and Ruth had many close friends, traveled throughout the world, were proud of their family and devoted to their Catholic faith. Ruth graduated with highest honors from North High and never lost her love of learning. She was loving, kind, a talented homemaker and had an incredible sense of humor. They are survived by 3 daughters: Judy Daugherty (Jack), Nancy Peterson (Ron), Martha Barnes (Bill), 6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, along with Roy's sister and sister-in-law and many loving nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass and Interment will be held Oct. 8th at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Abby Church in Collegeville, MN. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Minn. Knights of Columbus Student Loan Fund, Inc., or the Fr. Vincent Tegeder Fund at St. John's for Retirement Programing. For further info email: netpeterson@hotmail.com
