Johnson, Gerald "Jerry" Age 88, of Anoka, died peacefully at home with family on August 23, 2016. Jerry was a former, longtime principal at Mississippi Elementary School in Coon Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry & Elinor; and infant daughter. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marlys; son, Steve (Carrie); granddaughters, Jessica (Joe) Dukich, Mallory (Austin) Hughes; brother, Wally; special nieces and nephews; and special friend, Lyle Root. Funeral Services will be held 2:30 p.m., Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 700 Western Street, Anoka. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
