Becker, Richard (Dick) Morse age 76, of Crosslake, MN passed away suddenly on Friday, August 19, 2016 at his home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016 at 12:00PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Crosslake, MN. Visitation will begin at 10:30AM at the church. Dick was born on January 17, 1940 in Leola, SD to Harold and LaVerne (Morse) Becker. Dick grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from South HS in 1958. He joined his brothers, Harold, Bill and Jim in the flooring business in 1960. Dick married Phyllis Sorensen on July 29, 1961. From 1968 to 1998, Dick, Bill, and Harold owned and operated Beckers Resort on Lake Winnibigoshish. By the mid 1980's the four Becker brothers had grown their business into one of the Twin Cities most prominent union floor covering service entities. Dick retired early in 1995 and moved to his home in Crosslake, MN. Dick and son Jim started Beckers Crosslake Flooring in 1995. Dick's lifelong passion for hunting, fishing and work in the outdoors, never faded. Dick passionately loved his family, his many dogs, and extended friends and was like a second father to many. His joy was the 50 plus years he spent in the floor covering business and his yard work. His passion and spirit will be missed by the many he touched and mentored throughout his life. Dick is survived by his adored wife and best friend of 56 years, Phyllis Ann Becker; his two sons, John D. Becker (Bernadette) grandson Elliot; and James M. Becker (Michelle) grandchildren, Nicolle, Sabrina, and Alex; brothers, Harold C. (Gwen) Becker and William B. (Iva) Becker; sisters, Muriel Sister-man and Terri Becker; and many beloved nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents Harold C. and Luverne E. Becker; sisters, Pat and Mary; and brother, Jim Becker. He now rests in God's presence. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel, Crosslake
