Marilyn Larson

Larson, Marilyn passed peacefully and went to her Lord in heaven on August 20, 2016, at the age of 84. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Marilyn's faith guided her life, as did her love for family and friends, including her PEO sisters. She was a kind, thoughtful, and selfless person, a trusted and loyal friend. And though frugal with herself, she was generous in so many ways to others. Marilyn volunteered for many including the Children's Hospital, the Courage Center, the Edina Grief Coalition as a grief counselor, and she also served meals to the disadvantaged. She was an active member at Pax Christi for over 40 years, serving as a Eucharistic minister and helping prepare and serve meals during funerals. She was an avid card player, tennis player and golfer. She also loved to travel and enjoyed the arts. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Goldie Mulcahy; her daughter, Carrie; and her husband, John. She is survived by her son, Greg Larson (Patsy); daughter, Sue Walinske; grandchildren, Jessica Larson, Lauren Walinske and Garrett Walinske; her brother, Rich Mulcahy; and the special man in her life, Jim Siverhus. The family would like to thank N.C. Little Hospice for their loving care of Marilyn and the family.
