Glenn Dale Hamilton

Hamilton, Glenn Dale Dale went home to be with his Savior and Lord, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the age of 88, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Luella Hamilton and brothers Robert Hamilton and Jack Hamilton. He is survived by loving wife Blanche, children: Sandra (Dr. Lee Allison), Janet (Kent Drewelow), Karen (Ron Evenson) and Jonathan Hamilton (Kim); grandchildren Kara Rozowski (Casey), Julie Klueckman (Gary), Michelle McNeil (Zach), Jana Allison (Arnold), Deanne Drewelow, Austin Hamilton (Shelby) Alan Evenson, Adam Evenson (Lauren), Aaron Evenson, and Selena Hamilton; 14 great-grandchildren and sister Jean VanderMeer. Glenn Dale Hamilton was born August 3, 1928 in International Falls, Minnesota. He graduated with honors from International Falls High School class of 1947 and continued his education at the University of Minnesota (ROTC), studying his lifetime career of civil engineering. On September 2, 1952 he entered active military service as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army with deployment to Korea. On discharge he further served in the Army Reserves for 14 years, attaining the rank of Captain. He met and married the love of his life, Blanche Jeanette Reich, at Soul's Harbor, Calvary Temple January 2, 1951. Blanche and Dale resided in Minneapolis, Minnesota where they were actively involved in their church in many capacities. Dale retired from the civil engineering firm of McCombs, Frank, Roos. Following retirement, he became actively involved in The Gideon's International. Dale's greatest passion was his love for his Lord Jesus and he faithfully used his God-given talents to serve him. Memorial service will be held 10:30 AM on Friday August 26, 2016 at Washburn-McReavy Eden Prairie Chapel with visitation beginning at 9 AM. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
