Lutz, Sarah (Lynn) 75, of Hamel, Minnesota, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Born May 7, 1941, first child of Rev. E. Russell Lynn, Sr. (died 1996), and Blanche Lynn, (died 2011). Sarah was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and friend. Bachelor's in Education - The College of Emporia in Emporia, Kansas. Moved to Minneapolis and taught in the Orono school system 1971 to 1996. Master's in Education - University of Minnesota. Remembered as a knowledgeable, wise, creative, forceful, and fun teacher. Married Jim Lutz, 1976. Both were active in the Plymouth Presbyterian Church where Sarah served as an elder. After Jim died in 2006, she spent winters in Brownsville, Texas. Loved to read, movies, music, theater, and time with friends and family. Had been diagnosed with diabetes in her early 20's and was on insulin for 50+ years. Sarah is survived by son Rob Lutz, spouse Beth Wendroth of Rogers; grandson Josh, and great-grandson Carter of East Bethel. By her brothers Eric Lynn of Miriam, KS, and Rev. E. Russell Lynn, Jr. of Arlington, VA . Also by many 'grand' and 'great' nephews and nieces.
