Popowitz, Lawrence Age 87. Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather and Brother. Lawrence died peacefully in the comfort of his home and family. He is survived by his wife Shirley, daughter Sandy (Larry) Tobias, sons and daughters-in-law, Steven (Coral), Mark (Gloria) and Dan Popowitz, his sister Lorraine Hammerly, his twelve grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary, his father Anthony, three brothers, Harry, Gene, Jim and his niece Mary Hammerly. We imagine them 'dealing him in' to their heavenly card game. Visitation with family, Sunday, July 31, 2016 from 3 PM - 7 PM at JOHNSON PETERSON FUNERAL HOME, 2130 2nd Street, White Bear Lake, MN 651-429-7661. A funeral service will be held at Johnson-Peterson Funeral Home on Monday, August 1st, 2016 at 11 AM with visitation at 10 AM at the funeral home. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery to follow.
