Carolyn (Johnson) Stolen

Stolen, Carolyn Johnson 86, of Grand Rapids, MN died peacefully at home on July 21, 2016. Carolyn was born on July 8, 1930 in Minneapolis, MN to Arthur and Margaret Johnson. She attended Washburn High School and the University of Minnesota where she received her teaching degree. After marrying Dr. Keith Stolen, they moved to the Grand Rapids area where they raised four daughters. Carolyn was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a 52 year member of P.E.O., and involved with many other community organizations. She enjoyed golfing, knitting, piano, bridge, celebrating birthdays and holidays with friends and family, especially Christmas. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Lou Roberts. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 63 years, Keith Stolen; daughters, Sally (Mike) Grossman, Susan (Steve) Finden, Sunny (Curt) Johnson and Lynn (Dave) Wilde; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. A quote from Carolyn, "Just come if it's convenient. If you have a good tee time, hold on to it!" Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m. Friday July 29th, 2016 at Zion Lutheran Church, 2901 Hwy 169, with a visitation one hour prior to the Service. Pastor Paul Leslie officiating.
