Diedrich, Geraldine "Geri" age 86, of Golden Valley, passed away July 20th, 2016 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Geri was a loving, caring, family oriented person of strong faith. She was an avid reader who loved shopping and enjoyed the comforts of home. Her wisdom and grace will be greatly missed. Preceded in death by husband, Jim; parents, Lily & August Hommes; brother, Tim; sister, Ruth. Survived by children, Diane (Lucas III) Smith, Pattie Diedrich, Don, Beth Diedrich and Karen (Brent) Baxley; daughter-in-law, Julie; grandchildren, Lucas IV (Elise), Josh (Julie), Shelby, Bailey, Travis, Jordon, Cameron and Cooper; great grandson, Gavin; brother, Rich (Nancy) Hommes; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am Tuesday, July 26 at the Church of St. Mary of the Lake, 105 Forestview Lane N., Plymouth. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Monday, with Prayer Service at 6:30, at Gearty Delmore Plymouth Chapel, 15800 37th Ave N (@ Vicksburg Lane), and again one hour prior to Mass Friday AT CHURCH.
