Henjum, James Edward Died peacefully in Shakopee, MN on July 15, 2016. What began as a road trip to Minnesota turned into a family reunion when he was unexpectedly diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia. Within four days, Jesus called him home. Jim was born November 22, 1928 in Minneapolis, MN to Nels and Hilda Henjum. He graduated with distinction in June, 1951 from the University of Minnesota with Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degrees. He worked 33 years for Proctor and Gamble in Cincinnati, OH, followed by 5 years of consulting for P&G and Camargo Associates. Jim met the love of his life, Elaine Johnson, in their church choir and they have been singing together through 65 years of marriage. He possessed a wonderful sense of humor that was readily displayed to everyone he met! Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Nels and wife Audrey. Jim is survived by his wife Elaine of Cincinnati; daughters Pamala (Wendell Mendell) Henjum, Heidi (Michael) Frankland, and Linnea Nolfi; son Philip (Susan Wilson) Henjum; grandchildren John and Mark Mendell, Bethany and Joshua Frankland, James, Domenick, and Trey (Stephanie) Nolfi, Alexandra, Kelsey, and Grete Wilson-Henjum; nieces Kris (Jeff) Cordell and Kathie (Gary) Stenson, nephews Steve (Kathleen) Henjum and Paul (Sherry) Henjum and their families. The family thanks the medical staff of St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee, MN for the loving care and compassion shown to Jim and his family. On Saturday, July 30, there will be visiting with the family at 10:00 a.m. followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 8265 Winton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
