Peter Roy DeRum

DeRum, Peter Roy of Wildwood, MO, died surrounded by his beloved family and friends on July 18, 2016. He was 73 years old. Peter is survived by his wife, Elizabeth "Betty Ann" "Liz;" his children, Lisa Petty, Paige Malicki, Renee Kurczynski, and Lee DeRum; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Peter "Carl" and Ruth DeRum, of Annandale, MN, and his sister, Gay Biller, of Milwaukee, WI. Peter was born on September 8, 1942 in Richfield, MN. He spent most of his schooling years working at his parents' business, Bread Box Bakery, in Minneapolis, MN. Peter graduated from Richfield High School in 1960. Peter managed dozens of bakeries and a manufacturing facility in St. Louis, MO and adored his work so much he never retired. When not feeding thousands from the bakeries or his home kitchen, Peter was out on his Harley. He and the love of his life, Liz, raised four children of whom they couldn't be more proud. The visitation is at SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Rd., Ballwin, MO on Thursday, July 28, 2016, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Mass at Holy Infant Catholic Church, 627 Dennison Dr., Ballwin, MO is on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. Burial is at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery with full military honors. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to The Zach Johnson Foundation benefitting Kids on Course.
