Margaret B. Arazi

Arazi, Margaret B. age 99, died peacefully on June 29, 2016, 3 days before her 100th birthday, at her home in Bloomington, MN. Preceded in death by her parents Oscar A. and H. Beatta Olson, her husband, Ishaq S. Arazi, and her brother and sister-in-law Oscar E. and Lorraine Olson. She is survived by her son, Michael (Karyn) Arazi and her daughter, Mary (Ted) Murphy, both of Bloomington, granddaughters Jeannette Arazi (Christian Lane) of Chicago and Christine M. (Colin) Beauchemin of Andover, Mass, great-grandchildren Ike and Katy Lane and Sam and Oscar Beauchemin. Margaret was born in Minneapolis, MN on July 3 1916. She was raised along with her brother on the Iron Range in Keewatin, Minnesota where she graduated from High School in 1934. After high school and junior college, she attended the University of Minnesota graduating in 1938 with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work. She worked for Anoka County for several years as a county social worker followed by many years with the Traveler's Aid Society and the American Red Cross. She retired (finally) in 1982. Margaret and Ishaq settled in Bloomington in 1954 and raised their family. Following Ishaq's death in 1989, she remained in their family home until October 2015 when she needed more care and moved to Breck Home for her final months. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 30 2016, at 11 AM, with visitation 1 hour prior to service at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 700 South Snelling Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota 55116. If desired, memorials may be directed to Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Organ Restoration Fund, in Margaret's name. Private interment, Bloomington Cemetery.
