Johnson, Kenneth P. Age 70 of Coon Rapids, MN, passed away June 20, 2016 from complications of lung cancer. Preceded in death by his parents Linn R. and Gladys Johnson (nee Anderson); one sister, Mary Ellen Knuth, and 3 brothers, Robert, James, and Vernon Johnson. A 1963 graduate of Elcho High School of Elcho, WI, Ken was a proud veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1968. Following the war, he served as a police officer in Antigo, WI, before moving to the Twin Cities in 1978. Later Ken worked for and retired from the main branch of the US Postal Service in St. Paul, MN. Ken was a devoted husband, father, and, especially, grandfather, as well as an avid golfer, poker and bingo player. He is survived by his wife, Marie Molva-Johnson; three children, Jason (Jill) Johnson, Justin (Nicole) Johnson, Nichole (David) Eckhart, eight grandchildren, Gunnar, Gus,Madison, Howie, Piper, Ryen, Parker, and Zoe; sister Ann Marie "Peg" Maney, brothers Gerald, Duane and Glen Johnson; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service Saturday, July 2nd, 2016, 1PM at First Presbyterian Church, 535 20th Ave N, South Saint Paul, MN. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Wednesday, July 7, 2016 at 11AM.
