Popehn, Joanne D. (Honey) age 88 of Plymouth, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on 6/19/16. Born 4/21/28 in Minneapolis, MN to Carl and Josephine Wilson. Preceded in death by infant daughter and sister, Betty Johnson. Survived by husband, Arthur, of 68 years; children, Tom (Cathy), John, Peggy (Steve) Carlson, Jim; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives. Joanne & Art met in the choir at St. Helena's Church and were married there on 10/4/47. Joanne was a loving wife and mother who dedicated her life to raising her family. Even though Art & Joanne travelled extensively, Joanne's favorite place was spending time at their cabin on Big Boy Lake, with friends and family and their dog, Ringo. Mass of Christian Burial Monday (6/27) at 11:00 AM at St. Raphael's Catholic Church, 7301 Bass Lake Road, Crystal, MN 55428, with visitation one hour prior to the Mass. Luncheon following Mass. Private interment at Gethsemane Cemetery. The family would like to thank the caregiving staff at St. Therese.
