Holtan, Gladys Lynn Born April 16, 1916 in Mpls, MN to Charles & Ella (Besserud) Lynn, passed away peacefully from a weak heart, April 12, 2014 at age 97, 4 days prior to her 98th birthday, just 2 days after being transferred to N.C. Little Memorial Hospice from Augustana Apartments Care Suites where she resided since Jan. 2013. Prior residence since 2004 was Gramercy Lake Shore Drive in Richfield. Preceded in death by husband of 64 years, C. Hanley Holtan. Survived by 3 sons, Lynn "Skip", Doug (Gail), and Mark (friend Debbie); 2 grandchildren, Tracy Holtan, and Katie (Chris) Philippi; 6 great-grandchildren, Dominik (NYC) and Savanna Ellena (Duluth), Isabella McCormick, Tori, Maggie and Riley Philippi, all of the Twin Cities. Glady’s request for a private family celebration of her wonderful fulfilling long life will be honored on her 98th birthday. No memorials requested. Thanks Mom.
