Ingstad, Helene Amelia (Isaacson) age 98, entered the Kingdom of Heaven on April 10, 2014 at Golden Living Center in Hopkins, MN, surrounded by her family. She was born December 10, 1915 in Gowan, MN. She married Albert Ingstad on October 2, 1939. In October 1949, Helene was appointed as Postmaster in Marcell, MN by President Harry S. Truman. She retired in 1981. She is survived by a son, Jerome (Julie) Ingstad Marcell, MN and daughter, Karen Mjolsness (Robert) Eden Prairie, MN; five granddaughters, Laree Anderson; Allison Mjolsness (Juan Medina); Sarah Britney; Jessica Schwartz (William) & Jennifer Weisz (Jamie), seven great- grandchildren and two great- great grandsons, brother, James Isaacson; many nieces and nephews and other family members. Preceded in death by her husband Albert; parents William & Amelia Isaacson; siblings Edwin Isaacson; Lillian Ingstad; Harry Isaacson; Jalmer Isaacson; Martha Maki; Erwin Isaacson; Viola Valo; Clarence Isaacson and grandson- in-law, Jeffrey Anderson. A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, April 22nd at the Jessie Lake Lutheran Church, 11 a.m. Visitation one hour prior for family members. Public visitation Monday, April 21st, 5 - 8 PM, at Carroll Funeral Home, 14 First Avenue NE, Deer River, MN. Private interment. Memorials to the American Cancer Society.
