Mark R. Gebhart

Gebhart, Mark R. March 11, 1961 to May 24, 2016, age 55, of Becker passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday at the St. Cloud Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bobbie; and brother-in-law, Robert Lauber. Mark was born on March 11, 1961 in Miles City, Montana to Donald and Mildred (Bowar) Gebhart. He graduated from Fergus Falls High School and attended St. Cloud Community and Technical College; where he received his degree in advertising. Mark married his high school sweetheart, Cheryl, on June 14, 1980 at Our Lady of Victory in Fergus Falls. He worked as a sales representative for several suppliers and most recently drove truck for Sara Lee. Mark enjoyed Frisbee golf, cooking his famous five meat chili, traveling, and swimming. He never jumped the bandwagon and always was a HUGE supporter of the MN Vikings. Mark was a free spirit, kind, helpful, open and caring. Most importantly, Mark loved his family dearly. Mark is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Becker; children, Stephen (Kathrine) of Shakopee, Stephanie (Jason) Riesgraf of Albertville; siblings, Jim of Gallatin, TN, Mary (Steve) Bisson of Aurora, CO, Joanne Lauber of Aurora, CO, Pat of Columbia Heights, Ed (Jim) of Albuquerque, NM, Theresa (Joel) Hought of Moorhead, Carol (Brent) Manley of Brainerd, Nancy (Jim) Blank of Alexandria, Pete (Bonnie) of Detroit Lakes, Joe (Karen) of Moorhead; grandchildren, Isabella and Nicholas. A Celebration of Life will be 11AM on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker with a Vikings Tailgate to follow. Visitation will be from 4-8PM on Friday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Becker. Mark's wishes were for guests not to wear a suit and tie, but support the purple and gold with Vikings attire.
