Jensen, David R. David Ross Jensen was born December 1, 1948, in Northfield, the son of Lyle and Ruth (Ross) Jensen. He graduated from Northfield High School in 1967. Dave attended college at Bemidji State University where he received his degree in accounting in 1976. He was united in marriage to Patricia Benjamin on December 1, 1973. Dave worked as an accountant, and spent the majority of his accounting career working at First Minnesota Savings and Loan, in Minneapolis. Dave finished his career driving a tow truck for Dick's Valley Service until his retirement. On Thursday, May 19, 2016, Dave passed away at Regions Hospital in Saint Paul at the age of 67. He is survived by his wife Patricia Jensen of Apple Valley; daughters Emilie Jensen of Richfield; Camille Jensen (and Brian Schusterman) of Truckee, CA; son Peter Jensen (and Brittany Frandle) of Bloomington; grandsons Pax and Nico Schusterman and Hugo Jensen; and Prudie, beloved dog. Dave is also survived by his mother Ruth Jensen of Northfield; sisters Diane (and Jim) Giese of Bath, SD; Debbie Jensen of Northfield; Darlene Benjamin of Northfield; Dareth Berg of Eagan; Dena (and Joe) Eggum of Dennison. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyle. A celebration of Dave's life will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 4 PM to 8 PM at the Grand Event Center in Northfield. A service of remembrance will begin at 5 PM with a meal and reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, Dave's family would prefer donations be made in his memory to the Arthritis National Research Foundation, for rheumatoid arthritis research (curearthritis.org/honorary-gifts/).
