Carroll, John W. "Jack" age 83, of Shorewood, MN passed away May 21, 2016. Jack was preceded in death by his son Dan and his wife Claire, parents Frank and Mary Martha. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Joan; sons Mike (Deb) Carroll of New Brighton, Larry (Mary) of St. Paul, and daughter Linda (Pete) Giancola of Jordan, grandchildren Sarah, Pete, Joe, Elizabeth, Iris, Elise, Jim, Dave and Kailey; great grandchildren Lillian, Lucy, Braeden, Sophia and Sam. Also survived by sister Nancy and brother Jerry, both of Denver, CO. Jack served in the Marine Corps during the Korean war. He was a graduate of University of Denver and worked as controller at Mercy Hospital. Jack, Joan and the children moved to Minnesota in 1967 and Jack became CPA and partner at Robert Engelhart & Co. Jack loved spending time at the lake, winters in Arizona, working on his classic car and training his German Shepherds. The family would like to thank the staff at Deephaven Woods memory care and Brighton Hospice for all that you did for Jack. Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, May 26, 11 AM at St. Therese Church, 18323 Minnetonka Blvd., Wayzata, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
