Angelina (Raney) Vinje

Vinje, Angelina Raney Age 82, Angie passed away April 27, 2016. She was born on Nov. 6, 1933 in Drayton, ND. Preceded in death by husband, Arne Martyn Vinje; parents, Ed and Virginia Raney; 2 sisters, Mary Howe and Dorothy Lubka; and brother, Albert Raney. Survived by son, Alan Vinje; daughter, Ann (Jeff) Pearson; 5 grandchildren, Christopher and Shawn Vinje, Laurel, Syver and Carter Pearson; brother, Ed (Jacqueline) Raney; many nieces, nephews and friends. Angie graduated with honors from UND, Grand Forks. Numerous careers to include: St. Olaf Critical Skills Program, Community Education Director for Shakopee, Special Grants/Coordinator for Hutchinson Technical College, planned curriculum and training for CETA/AFDC recipients in Carver and Scott Counties, Farm Credit Mediator for the State of MN, Budget Consultant for Big Stone County, served on McKnight Foundation Human Services Advisory Board for the MN Initiative Funds, worked for PIC5 in JTPA Programs, case manager for Resource Inc., Employment Action Center, CETA and JTPA/WIA Programs, Stride for HTC jobs and training and Stride City of Mpls programs for HIRED. Angie was a certified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF). Angie retired in August of 2009 at the age of 75. Angie was a loving, considerate, selfless, conscientious human being who helped others and was greatly loved by family and friends. We will miss her. Interment 11:15 AM Friday, June 10 at Fort Snelling Cemetery (meet at Assembly Area #4). Memorial service 11 AM Monday, May 9 with visitation one hour prior to the service at Mt.
