Earl F. Borer

Borer, Earl F. Once upon a time, in Hollywood, MN, a handsome Dutch man, Earl Francis Borer, married a beautiful Irish lass, Margaret Mary McDonald, and the rest is history and family legacy. Earl passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at age 87, surrounded by his family who he loved and cherished. Earl and Margaret were married 66 years. They raised their family in South Minneapolis and Brooklyn Park. Earl loved and lived for his family of eight children including his deceased son, Kenneth, who he is with now. Earl enjoyed a long successful career at UOP Johnson Screens. He is remembered most as the plant manager at UOP. After retirement he enjoyed his second career at Centerbrook Golf Course as a charming course ranger. He also was proud of the work he did as a mediator with the Hennepin County court system. He helped and touched so many throughout this wonderful career. Earl loved to golf, play cards, fish, garden and attend all his children's and grandchildren's activities. He was an avid hockey fan attending well over 1,000 hockey games. His 29 grand and great-grandchildren were the light of his life. He was an inspiration and anchor in the lives of many. Everyone who met him found him a pleasure to be around. Earl's special love for his wife, his only daughter, daughters-in-law and granddaughters set a standard that his sons and grandsons strive for to this day. With grateful hearts we were blessed to know him and experience the example of a true gentleman.
