McCarty, Shelly (Butkovich) age 61, of San Francisco, CA, formerly of Golden Valley, MN, passed away April 17th at her home. Preceded in death by her father, Fred Butkovich; father-in-law, Marvin McCarty; brother-in-law, Rodrigo Morales. Shelly was survived by her husband Larry McCarty & son Jake McCarty; mother, Marian Butkovich; sisters Mary Jo Morales and Carol Thompson; brother-in-law Terry; brother Jon Butkovich; sister-in-law, Jennifer Butkovich; nieces & nephews, Amy Nowak, Angela Jolly, Fred Goodrie, Elle & Wesley Butkovich, Olivia McCarty, Chet McCarty, Linda Pulliam and Sue Farrell. Shelly graduated from Golden Valley High School in 1973, & attended the University Of Miami, FL & the University of MN. Shelly moved to San Francisco,CA in 1978 for a new job & met & married Larry McCarty in 1982. Their son Jake was born in 1992. Shelly achieved acclaimed success in business as a senior buyer and merchandise manager for Gymboree Corp., Mervyn's Corp., Joanie Char and Santa Cruz Women's Wear after starting and running her own boy's wear company, Monster Wear. Shelly was loved & will be missed dearly by all. Memorial Service will be at Messiah United Methodist Church on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Church address is 17805 County Road 6, Plymouth, MN 55447.
