Majerle, Donna Marie 89, longtime resident of Columbia Heights, MN, died Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Eagle Crest in Roseville, MN. She was born on December 8, 1926 to John and Helen (Drajna) Pinski in St. Paul, MN. Donna was a graduate of Wilson High School, class of 1945. She later attended the University of Minnesota where she met her future husband John Majerle. After school she entered the Sacrament of Marriage with John on August 7, 1948 in St. Paul. Donna was employed with various places throughout her lifetime, most notably, she was a stewardess with Mid-Continent Airlines, Donna worked for the Sports and Health Club, and the European Health Spa. Donna was also very active in the Friendship Force in Minneapolis. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia Heights. Donna truly loved traveling the world, and meeting people. She enjoyed gardening, and was known for her beautiful tomatoes. She is survived by her children, John (Cindy) Majerle Jr, Fridley, MN, Greg (Ann) Majerle, Hibbing, and Jill (Brian) Wall, Silver Cliff, CO, sister, Lorraine Kruger, Antioch, CA, seven grandchildren, Peter Majerle, Nick Majerle, Marija Majerle, Christina (Brad) Steinbrecher, Lincoln Majerle, Theresa Majerle, and Kristin (Justin) Lamb, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Helen (Drajna) Pinski, husband, John Majerle Sr., in 2007, sister, Marian Pinski, and brother, Gene Pinski. Funeral services for Donna will be 10:00am, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Columbia Heights, MN, 4030 Jackson St. NE, Minneapolis, MN 55421. The Rev. Fr. John Mitchell will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral Mass at the church on Tuesday. A graveside and committal service will be held at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hibbing, MN, at 12:00 noon, Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Arrangements are with the Dougherty Funeral Home of Hibbing.
