Marilyn Hanson

Marilyn Judith (Eide) Hanson, age 82, died February 8, 2016 at Spring Park, MN. She was born June 8, 1933 to Alfred and Gladys (Peterson) Eide of Sinai, SD. She graduated as Valedictorian in 1951 from Sinai High Schools and attended Nettleton Commercial College in Sioux Falls, SD. On August 30, 1953 she married Warren R. "Dick" Hanson who also grew up in Sinai. They had three sons, eighteen months apart: Stewart Kent, Steven Paul and Scott Vincent. Through the years, they had homes in Florissant, MO; Excelsior (Lake Minnewashta), MN, North Fort Myers, FL, Clearwater, MN and Spring Park. Her favorite hobbies were music, photography and painting, golf and tennis, and all kinds of needlework. Most of her married life was spent at home with her family. Her most enjoyable jobs outside the home were working at the SDSC Student Union Building; Minnetonka High School; and Honeywell Defense Systems Division. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and infant sister, Edith Ann. She is survived her sons and daughters-in-law: Beth (Overton), Laurie (Niska) and Cindy (Pulvermacher). Two grandchildren were born to each Son's family; five granddaughters and one grandson. The oldest to the youngest are: Katelyn Marie, Leslie Ann, Kelsey Christine, Keri Anne, Alex Michael and Leah Beth. A great grandson, Theo Vincent, was born to Keri and her husband Jeremy Knaak. At Marilyn's request, a private family service will be held at the site of her final resting place in Sinai beside her husband, parents and little sister some bright, warm sunny day this Spring.
