Clarine Adele Tourand

Tourand, Clarine Adele entered Heaven's gates on Friday, February 5, 2016. She was born in Devils Lake, ND on October 20, 1915, an only child of William and Clara Fraley. She was united in marriage to Eugene Tourand on March 14, 1942 in Oakland, CA - they were married for 74 blissful years. Clarine is survived by her husband, Eugene "Ted" Tourand; 5 children and spouses, Maureen Roberts, David Tourand, Joanne Tourand, Donna (Bruce) Peterson and Richard (Lori) Tourand; 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Douglas, Kristine, Edward, Janel, Heather, Jeffrey, Kimberlie, Kelli, Joseph and Katherine; and 19 great-grandchildren, Rachel, Christopher, Kagen, Cara, Robert, Lisa, Amie, Mindy, Mica, Sedona, Sophia, Abby, Alex, Luke, Hailey, William, Tyler, Jack and Charlie. She is also survived by many friends. Clarine was a homemaker, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She worked at Daytons in downtown Mpls for 25 years. In her spare time, she loved baking sweets, shopping, gardening and playing the organ at church. She had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. Clarine's last few years were spent at Texas Terrace Care Center in St. Louis Park, where she was known for her cheerful disposition. The family offers the staff who cared for Clarine their extreme gratitude for the generousity and genuine love. The family will see friends on Sunday, February 14 from 2-5 PM at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel, 5125 West Broadway in Crystal, MN. A Funeral Mass celebrating her life will be held the following day on Monday, February 15 at 10:30 AM with visitation 1 hour prior at St. Joseph Parish Community, 8701 36th Ave N (36th and Boone) in New Hope, MN with a luncheon to follow.
