Luther, Martin "Ernie" Age 91, of Richfield, passed away peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family on Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2016 at his home. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Friedl Luther; wife, Annelie and brother, Carl. Survived by wife, Mary K. Frey Luther; son, Steven Luther (Jan Vosburg); sisters-in-law, Lilli Luther, Mollie (Hugh) Sherry, Margaret (Joe) Bianconi, and Donna Frey; several nieces and nephews. Upon retirement from IDS, Ernie began a successful writing career and pursued his love of music and gardening. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, February 12, 2016, 10:30 AM at St. Richard's Catholic Church, 7540 Penn Ave S, Richfield. Visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
